Intro

You can whip up this quick-thinking activity in no time. The aim of the game is to come up with objects on the spot that match the colour you chose. Play it anytime or on USA Independence Day, to join in with all the Americans celebrating the nation's independence with barbecues, parades and fireworks.

This quiz is a nice little filler if you’ve got 20 minutes spare.

The Activity

  1. Put the coloured cards into separate envelopes before you begin, so nobody can see the colours
  2. Invite the first person to choose an envelope, open it and think of an item that matches the coloured card inside
  3. Write their answer on the flip chart
  4. Let everyone have 3 or 4 goes each
  5. Once everyone is done, look at the list together and encourage each person to talk about what their favourite thing is and why
