What you need

  1. Landmarks Quiz - download resource
  2. Small prize for the winner (optional)

Quizzes are fantastic for encouraging people to use their cognitive skills in a fun way.  This activity can get competitive at times, but reassure people that it doesn’t matter if they get the answers wrong. It’s all about getting the grey matter working!

Travel around the World working out where all these famous Landmarks are, the city or country would be acceptable as answers.

Play the quiz just for fun – or keep score and award the winner with a small prize.  The quiz is available as a question sheet, in case anyone would like to do the quiz on their own first. Then you can share the answers with them afterwards.

The Activity

  1. Gather the group together or sit with the person if one to one, or give the person the questions sheet if they would like to do this on their own
  2. Either read the landmark aloud to the group or each person in turn
  3. Ask them to guess what the answer might be, some may be well known, some may need lots of guesses
  4. Congratulate every answer, even if it’s wrong, as every attempt is a good brain workout
  5. If you’re playing competitively, keep scores and award the winner a small prize
  6. Spend time at the end, and enjoy talking about the landmarks, and if anyone has visited any of them and share their memories of their visits
