This Late Stage Pack brings a collection of our favourite items that bring comfort and joy to those with late stage dementia.

**Tactile Turn **

The Tactile Turn helps keep hands busy, alleviating stress and anxiety, and is focused on doing rather than achieving. We have tried and tested it with our network of carers, care homes, and people with dementia, who all provided invaluable insights that fed into our creation process, and helped us get to the final design!

Ocean Life

The Ocean Life Aquapaint set features iconic creatures of the sea including; a starfish, a turtle, a lobster, a yellow fish, and the ever playful dolphin. Each image has clear black guidelines to nudge the artist along. Relish Aquapaints can provide an enriching experience for people living with dementia. By engaging in creative activities, individuals can exercise their imaginations, experience joy, and help to find a sense of accomplishment. Participating in art helps to promote relaxation and stimulate mental wellbeing.

**Tactile Match **

The Tactile Matching Game uses popular retro textures to unlock personal stories and positive memories in people with mid-late dementia. A delight to the sense of touch, players are encouraged to feel and match the tactile to the image or group them together based on associations. Alternatively, they may wish to simply feel and discuss elements of the textures, such as whether it is soft or coarse. Especially calming for people in the late stages of dementia, this activity can support cognitive stimulation therapy which has proven to be a powerful tool in the care of people living with dementia.

Spin Fidget Widget

Spin is one of 5 specially designed widgets, each with a particular motion. A smooth wooden design that fits comfortably in the hands, invite someone with dementia to delight in the soothing pleasure of spinning the two parts of the widget, in the hand.
