What you need

  1. A variety of Lego® blocks
  2. Ideas of things to build written on individual cards – see activity for ideas

Intro

Calling all aspiring designers, engineers, architects, builders and anyone who likes making models! This game invites you to pick a card and build whatever is written on it – from Lego® –while the group watches on, shouting aloud what it could be.

This game works best with 4 or 5 people. Keep scores to add a little competitive spirit!

The Activity

  1. Put the Lego® blocks in the middle of the table.
  2. Invite the first person to choose a card.
  3. Some ideas could be a House, a tree, a cat, an elephant, a car, a banana, a chair, a guitar, a duck, a windmill, a rainbow, a shark, a lighthouse, a sheet, a boat, a snowflake, a cake, a glove, a plane or a ball to name a few.
  4. Encourage them to build the thing that’s on the card from Lego®.
  5. Tell the group to shout out what they think the person is building.
  6. Once someone has guessed right, the next person can take a card and begin building (if someone wants to carry on building after the object has been guessed, let them).
  7. Keep going until each person has had a go – and everyone continues to enjoy themselves.
