Intro

Quizzes are fantastic for encouraging people to use their cognitive skills in a fun way. This activity can get competitive at times, but reassure people that it doesn’t matter if they get the answers wrong. It’s all about getting the grey matter working!

There are only 2 possible answers to this quiz, True or False. Have fun finding out something new and this leading to lots of fun conversations if doing as a group activity. Play the quiz just for fun – or keep score and award the winner with a small prize. The quiz is available as a question sheet, in case anyone would like to do the quiz on their own first. Then you can share the answers with them afterwards.

The Activity

Gather the group together or sit with the person if one to one, or give the person the questions sheet if they would like to do this on their own
Either read the statements aloud to the group or each person in turn
Ask them to guess what the answer might be
Congratulate every answer, even if it’s wrong, as every attempt is a good brain workout
If you’re playing competitively, keep scores and award the winner a small prize
Go back to any statements to chat about more, if playing as a group or do this along the way
