What you need

Intro

Most of us would be horrified if we were served rodents, worms or hay for supper. But this game isn’t about what we would like – it’s about animals’ favourite foods.

It’s a fun cognitive game to get people thinking and guessing what delicious (or not so delicious!) things animals munch. All people have to do is match up the animal with the food they like.

The Activity

To prepare…

  1. Put the sheet on the wall if you’re playing with a group
  2. Prepare the words before the group starts
  3. Write all the animals in a list down one side of the sheet
  4. Write the foods down the other side, making sure they’re jumbled up, so they don’t match the animals that eat them

To play…

  1. Invite each person to have a go at matching up the animals with the foods
  2. Ask the first person to draw a line from the first animal to the food that it eats
  3. Discuss with the group whether they think it’s correct and what they feel about the food
  4. Keep going like this until you match every last animal with its fave meal
