What you need

  1. Lots of silver foil
  2. Pictures of animals

Intro

We’ve all fiddled with a paper napkin or empty crisp bag and created something fun before. Well, this activity is built on the same origami-like principle, but we use tin foil to create animal shapes. It’s quick, easy and mess free, and because there’s no right or wrong answer, it’s also great for helping everyone tap into his or her creative side. It also inspires a lot of giggles towards the end of the session as each person showcases his or her animal and everyone else has to guess what it is!

The Activity

  1. Lay your animal pictures on the table and encourage some discussion about them. Things like, “Which is your favourite and why?”
  2. Then ask each person to choose an animal to create, but without telling anyone what they’ve chosen (if possible!)
  3. Dish out the silver foil and encourage everyone to create their animal
  4. Once the group’s finished, ask your budding sculptors to showcase their animal and see if the rest of the group can guess what it is
  5. If they don’t get it right, it really doesn’t matter – this game is just for fun, and all about the laughs!
