Intro
No one has to worry about odd socks in this game, as it’s all about the pairs! This activity is a little bit like snap, as you attempt to pair up your single socks with your opponents’. It’s guaranteed to encourage friendly competition, cognitive brain function and quite a few giggles.
Since all of the socks are brightly coloured, most people can enjoy it – even if their eyesight is poor.
What you need
- A large selection of plain or patterned colourful pairs of socks
- Dice or dice cards
- Bag or box
The Activity
- Mix up all the socks in a bag or box
- Give each player an equal number of single socks
- In turns, encourage each person to throw the dice or pick up a dice card
- If they roll or pick an odd number (1, 3 or 5), get them to pick one of the socks in their hand and take the matching one from one of their opponents
- They then fold the matching pair and keep it beside them
- This continues until all the socks have been paired up
- The winner is the person with the most pairs!
