What you need

  1. A pen
  2. Paper
  3. A set of cards with words that describe character - download resource

Intro

When it comes to playing this creative and light-hearted game, all you need is a name (hurrah) – and a few friends. Using the letters of a name, you ask that person to find words that begin with those letters and describe their character. ‘Jon’, for example, might say that he’sjolly and organised, and nice. And if you want to add a bit of humour and debate, you can encourage their friends to join in too!

The Activity

Ask each person to write their name on a piece of paper, with the letters stacked vertically in a row

Encourage that person to think of words that best describe them, which start with each letter

If they’re struggling, use the set of prepared words to help inspire them

Then, suggest that they share their chosen words with the group, so everyone can discuss whether they ring true – and throw other words into the mix too!
