Intro

What comes to mind when you think of the word ‘Christmas’? Is it ‘stockings’, ‘carols’, or maybe even ‘morning’?

This fun word association game will get you in the festive spirit while giving your grey matter a jolly good workout. You simply pair up the words to create merry duos! Christmas stockings, Christmas carols and Christmas morning are all great examples…

Play it 1-on-1 or in a small group.

The Activity

  1. Put the paper on the wall if you’re playing in a small group
  2. Write half of the Christmas words down one side
  3. Write the other half down the other (make sure they don’t match!)
  4. Invite the group to gather around
  5. Ask one person to look at the first word on the left and guess which word on the right it’s paired with
  6. If they’re happy with their choice, draw a line to match them up
  7. Invite the next person to do the same
  8. Continue until all the words are in pairs
  9. If a person is playing on their own, print out the sheet so they can do the puzzle at their leisure
