Intro
This well-known drawing game is great to play when the family are over at the weekend – or as a group game in a residential home. Just reassure everyone that they needn’t be amazing at drawing (in fact it adds to the fun if the drawings don’t look realistic!).
What you need
- A large bowl
- Lots of random words, written on individual pieces of paper or card
- Large sheets of paper (and a space on the wall to pin them)
- Marker pens
The Activity
- One person picks a card from the bowl, ensuring that no one sees what it says
- That person then draws the item named on their card, using the paper on the wall
- The rest of the group have to guess what the drawing shows
- Whoever guesses correctly scores a point – and gets to do the next drawing
- The person at the end of the game with the most points is the winner
Here are a few words to get you started:
- Alligator
- Biscuit
- Wellington boots
- Record player
- Fried egg
- Snowflake
- Rainbow
- Tea pot
- Rubber gloves
- Love letter
