Intro

Few things are more beautiful than listening to birds and catching the odd glimpse of a feathery friend in the garden. This relaxing, quiet and meditative activity is perfect if you can get outside and equally lovely to enjoy through the window.

What you need

  1. Encourage birds to the garden by placing the following items in a central place that can be viewed easily from inside and out:
  • A bird feeder full with food
  • A bird bath

The Activity

  1. Take a stroll into the garden and find a comfortable spot a short distance away from the bird feeders and bath
  2. Don’t sit too close to the feeder and bath, as too much movement might scare away the birds
  3. Sit patiently and keep an eye out for any feathered friends who might stop by for some food and a little splash around
  4. Enjoy being in the garden, soaking up the atmosphere and the sights
  5. Head back indoors and encourage conversations about all the birds you’ve seen
