About the activity & how to play it

In its simplest form, this game is perfect for giving sleepy limbs a workout. But speed things up (for those who are more mobile) and it can be a hilarious mood-booster too!

Play this one to one or with as many people as you like – wherever they happen to be sitting. Just allow some space between bodies, so everybody can move freely – and make sure people only move or stretch as far as they’re safely able to.

 

You’ll need

  1. A large dice
  2. A flipchart or large sheet of paper
  3. Background music

The Activity

  1. Write numbers 1-6 on your flipchart
  2. Write an action beside each number, like:

    1 – raise up your left arm
    2 – raise up your right arm
    3 – raise up both arms
    4 – lift up your left leg
    5 – lift up your right leg
    6 – lift up both legs (must be sitting for this)

  3. The leader should throw the dice then everybody must perform the move that corresponds to the number
  4. Throw the dice up to 10 times for a gentle session or more if the group feels up to it
